Well kids, it's been a while. I'm not even sure when my last blog died and what happened since then, but if you're reading this and even care what I have to say, you know that I got married, bought a house and got a new job. All within six months. Wow, I got old really quickly there...
The dog that we got kicks ass! I'm pretty sure he can fly although I have yet to acquire proof. I know he can read my thoughts, understands exactly what it is that I'm saying and can speak although he does so rarely and mumbles worse than I do.
The story of how we got him is pretty fantastical as well, pretty much divine intervention, and as Madjai pointed out, it was meant to be: I had been keeping an eye on the humane society website for quite some time...watching...waiting. We went out and looked at a couple of dogs, thought seriously about one or two, but decided it wasn't the right one. The day that Bruno (that's his kick-ass name) came on the sight I went out there before work to see him. We talked, cuddled a bit and I even took him on a walk. I went home that night and told the wife she had to see him and if we wanted a shot at him, we had to be there when the Humane society opened in the morning. She didn't understand how awesome and sweet his powers were. And he's a purebread Welsh Corgi. A dog you would normally have to pay upwards of $500 for. I had one when I was growing up.
So we get out there at 9:32 the next morning (they open at 9:30). As we're walking in, a woman is taking him up to the desk to start on the paper work. I nearly broke down in tears...I did a little bit. I swore under my breath quite a bit. And in a moment's glance, the wife fell for him as well. So we went and looked at some other mutts pretending like we could get something else...I was angry.
The next day some friends of ours came into town and I was telling them about my sad, sad story. They said they were thinking about getting a doggy as well so we decided to take a trip out to the humane society to look, just for fun. So we get there and check out some of the bigger dogs because they live on an old farm place and have more room than we do. Then we walk into the puppy room (for puppies and smaller dogs) and f me sideways there is Bruno!! I immediately ran (or walked quickly) up to the front and ask why he's back. They told me that the lady had just brought him back about a half hour before. I ask for a leash, wife and I walk him and that my friend, is a happy ending...Well, that a good massage...
My days are now filled with work and babbling with Madjai on G-Chat. I sometimes lose half of my day to lollipop day-dreams and games on Yahoo!
I nearly lost my eyebrows on the grill the other day...I smelled like burnt hair all night. No good.
That's all I have for now. There ya go Madj. Happy now?
